In the meantime, you can view or download the 2010 Junior Entry Form (Word format 43KB) for reference, and refer to the following information from the 2010 event. This may be subject to change.

You should expect to have to enter before 1 July 2011.

JUNIOR COMPETITIVE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

PURPOSE:

1. To provide a competitive driving experience for children under the age of 16.

2. To encourage young people in the sport.

3. To provide an enjoyable, relaxed competition for the young people involved.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. If run as a PSO sanctioned Discovery Competition only Manitoba Horse Council membership is required. (bronze EC licence not required)

2. Approved helmet must be worn at all times while on the cart or carriage. See section A802.6

3. A competent, knowledgeable adult supervisor preapproved by a Manitoba Driving Society Club member and capable of rendering assistance on the cart or carriage for Junior A (aged 10 and below) and Junior B (11-13) is required. Junior C (14-18) may drive a single alone with the permission of a parent.

4. A safety inspection must be passed before competing.

5. The youth driver should have attended an approved driving clinic prior to the event

EVENT & DESIGN:

1. Cones course- different in design and difficulty from the CDE cones course

2. Wheel measurement + 50cm

3. Easily maneuvered course that may have one hazard
