Annual General Meeting 4 May 2004
Park Clean up Day 16 May 2004

I am writing this letter to advise your organization that the Friends of Birds Hill Park are hosting our Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, May 4th, 2004 commencing at 7:30 pm. It will be held in the Interpretive Workshop at the head of Nimowin Road. Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting, however, only members can speak or vote. Our memberships are not very expensive, as they range from $ 10.00 for an individual to $25.00 for a non-profit group.

At the same time, I am asking for the assistance of as many members of your organization as possible to come out to our Park Clean up Day. This event will be held on Sunday, May 16th, 2004 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. This will then be followed by a BBQ for all those who helped. Please try to have at least 5 members from your organization come out to help us clean up. You would be surprised at how much garbage accumulates along the roads and parking lots during the winter. I would request that you call me on or before May 7th to advise me how many are coming so that we can be sure to have enough food and drinks available. My number is 694-0991, and please leave a message if I am not available when you call.

We are extending this request to all groups and individuals who we know use the Park on a frequent basis. In this manner, it is hoped that you and your organization will see fit to come to our AGM and become members so that we may have your input to the functioning of the Friends of Birds Hill Park.
